ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Description

This position is responsible for the operation of plant production lines to achieve the target line efficiency and provide direction to the employees working on those lines. The employee should be familiar with all production equipment to the extent that he/she can make adjustments, repairs, and perform routine maintenance on the lines.

The employee awarded this position should be flexible and able to work extended hours and/or weekend work as necessary to cover business needs as well as some adjustment to shift/hours.

Shifts:

1st shift (5 am-1 pm)

2nd shift (1pm to 9pm)

or

3rd shift (9pm to 5am)

Primary Role and Responsibilities

  • Enforce compliance with all company policies, safety rules and GMP’s

  • You will maintain the daily responsibility of production machinery, participate in the preventative maintenance for all machinery.

    • Keep production equipment in good condition and working order.

    • Inspect machines and equipment to locate problems, replace defective parts and make sure necessary adjustments to ensure continuing production operation.

    • You use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams to troubleshoot plant & production equipment.

    • You use hand & power tools to remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, & may test parts/equipment on plant & production equipment.

    • You will do electrical and/or pneumatic work to production machines.

    • You will perform housekeeping & sanitation tasks during & at the end of shift.

    • Maintain food safety and quality.

    • Participates in process improvement efforts (CPS) using their maintenance expertise, to assist all teams and projects.

Qualifications:

**Additional Education/Certification/Skills:**

English Language Skills – Able to speak, read, and write

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds per NIOSH lifting equation and utilize plant approved safe lifting practices for over 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (extended hours, including weekends and holidays when required)
  • Must perform job duties efficiently and safely
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must successfully complete the Mechanical Skills Assessment
  • Must display strong leadership ability, interpersonal skills, and mechanical aptitude
  • Must adhere to all Kraft Heinz policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and follow all internal Kraft procedures

Salary info:

$27 - $31 / hr
