Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations
  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks as needed, troubleshooting and repairing equipment and systems
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability for maintenance needs
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address maintenance-related issues and improve overall facility operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among the maintenance team
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory records
  • Train and mentor maintenance technicians, fostering their professional development and enhancing their technical skills

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a maintenance leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and computerized maintenance management systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or trade school education is a plus
